Arimidex Anastrozole/Treatment of Advanced Metastatic Breast Cancer in Postmenopausal Women

Arimidex Anastrozole/Treatment of Advanced Metastatic Breast Cancer in Postmenopausal Women
Anastrozole is a non-steroidal aromatase inhibitor and a third-generation aromatase inhibitor. It is clinically used to treat advanced metastatic breast cancer in postmenopausal women. Anastrozole can lower estrogen levels in postmenopausal women, which may slow the growth of certain types of breast tumors that need estrogen to grow in the body. Anastrozole is usually given to women whose cancer is not well controlled with tamoxifen (Nolvadex, Soltamox).
